The school is open for those who want to acquire a high-quality education for the vocation of economist. The process of education is carried out via lecture classes for a small number of pupils (up to 18 pupils per class). This enables a more individualized approach in teaching and it facilitates students' learning of the subject matter. Desks in the classrooms are positioned in a form of a semicircle, thus enabling optimal cooperation of pupils and professors, making at the same time the implementation of modern teaching methods and mentorship much easier.

Students are sent each year to experience practical education for a period of one week. During the school year four field trips are organized. At the end of each month score lists are made on the basis of grades, attendance and participation in extracurricular activities. Students who achieve enough points on a monthly basis tend to be specially rewarded, and each year excellent students are sent to an award trip. In classes modern teaching instruments are used as well. In classrooms, desks have been arranged in a form of a semicircle which allows optimal cooperation of students and teachers, and also facilitates the implementation of modern teaching methods and a mentoring approach. In our school every first Wednesday in a month is a Business Wednesday when students get the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a simulated business environment, which means that all students and teachers must come to school dressed as business people.

The School has a 14-year-old tradition and a well-established and successful national and international partnership which includes Business English Courses in Oxford, UK, German courses in Lindenberg, Germany, and activities performed during the International Education Week together with the students and teachers from the partner schools. The School is a partner school with the economic schools from Celje (Slovenia), Verona (Italy), Pecs (Hungary), Regensburg (Germany) and Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina). During the course of their second year, the students spend two weeks in St. Joseph's King's School Oxford (UK) improving and developing their English language skills. The students get their certificates upon the completion of the course and the grades and credits which they obtain there become the intrinsic part of their regular English class evaluation card in the School. The same principle applies to the German language courses held for the third grade students in Lindenberg, Germany. Other international projects which were successfully carried out during the previous year include "Ecological Footprint" and "Creative Thinking", the purpose of which was to bring students' work into focus and give them opportunity to learn how to cooperate and work in international environment. They include another project as well, called Leonardo da Vinci Mobility programme which was carried out together with Economic school Regensburg in 2009.
